Writers, poets and critics of both Urdu and Sindhi languages participated in the seminar in large number including from all parts of Sindh. The amended topic was: The tradition of the progressive literary movement in Sindh and its impact on poetry. The first seminar was held at Umar Kot. And finally the impact of the progressive literary movement on the society of Sindh. The impact of the progressive literary movement on literary criticism in Sindh. The impact of the progressive literary movement on short story/fiction in Sindh. The impact of the progressive literary movement on poetry in Sindh. Four papers in Urdu and four papers in Sindhi would be presented and discussed in each seminar. There would be a particular topic for every seminar. These seminars would be spread over a period of three months. After prolonged discussions and deliberations it was decided to hold four literary seminars at different places in Sindh. The present initiative has been taken by the incumbent office-bearers of the Sindhi Adabi Sangat and Anjuman Taraqqi Pasand Musannefeen, Sindh. It is rather the revival of the pre-One Unit phenomenon, ie bringing the literature, writers and poets of Sindhi and Urdu languages closer for advancing towards ultimate integration. A silent, slow but steady process is in progress in the domain of literature in Sindh.
